So this week I’ve been useless… no news from the Dr. and feeling SO tired and run down…. I just am ready to move on with life and be done with all the yuck – if only it were that easy – till then I’m trudging through…
I’ve seriously got a mile long list of things to do and I can’t get any of it done…. Tomorrow I’ve really got to focus! Wish me luck with that!
OHHH one more REALLY cool thing! At 123 Scrap the absolutely WONDERFUL Jen Caputo has writen a great tutorial on using brushes as clipping masks! It is so cool and you really should check that puppy out!

Okay well this post is my one useful thing for the day – now I go to bed.

But not before I leave you with a really fun page I did last week while I was only sitting at the computer for little tiny ten minute stints – this page was pretty much a week long process but it was nice distraction from all the pain.

I don’t have much to say (sorry everyone, no liver news) but I did want to thank EVERYONE for the incredible birthday wishes and let you all know how much I appreciate it!

My birthday was nice and relaxing. But, when we went out to dinner last night and I realized it was my first time leaving the house since my biopsy… no wonder I’ve been feeling sluggish and tired these past few days!

So today the boys and I are heading out for a little bit… I think we’re going to prowl the mall for a little while (don’t tell me that doesn’t technically qualify as “outside” there is like hot sun and stuff out there)

Well no news on the liver yet folks – when I get some I promise I’ll share… BUT lets just talk about something else for now – Like my BIRTHDAY coming this week!!!

On tuesday I turn 26 years old! sound very young and very old all at the same time – and that is fitting I guess because that is exactly how I feel!

So the thing is, I’m DYING for a laptop, so I don’t plan on spending any money on myself this birthday because I need to SAVE (I’m getting there!!! Buy my stuff lol!) Well, i’m back to my good old blog format. I just started to get totally irritated with the nutty black one, and it did a terrible job of formatting things! Even though when i picked it out I was in a totally black mood, I’m just not anymore! So now we are back to this good old format that we have all grown to love, right? Maybe I’ll play with it some more another time.

So, this weekend my mind is pretty full, and since I really can’t think about anything else I figured I should share with the universe (generally “share with the universe” is my coping strategy I figure going through something alone HAS to be worse than going through it with the support of the universe).

For a while now I’ve been sick: tired, worn down, abdominally crampy, and more tired. Well after pressing my Dr. to do some blood work before passing me off on some more antidepressants (don’t even get me started on that subject). We found out that my liver function tests were off, twice the normal level actually. Well this was in February, then in early April we tested again, and found the same thing.

I moved on to a GI specialist (waited a LONG TIME) to see him… it’s another long story, but after an ultrasound of my liver they found that there was evidence of “fatty liver” (still trying to learn more about this for myself, so i really don’t have a great explanation for you). The next step is a Liver Biopsy to see if there is any scarring or damage to the liver… then we go from there.

So, on Monday I go in and get my liver biopsied… I’m a little freaked out about the whole thing, but the good thing is what ever we find out will get me closer to an answer about why I’m sick, and hopefully about how to get better….

I’ve delivered three babies in the hospital, with IV’s and epidurals and the whole nine yards… but for some reason going in and getting sedated (not completely sedated they told me just sort of medicated with something to relax me), and then getting a big hollow needle stuck inbetween my ribs freaks me right out! This is my first actual hospital proceedure so I’m sure the unknown is the hardest part.
Plus, I guess it is scary to think about what they will find… I really just want to feel better.

Anyways, I’m planning on spening my weekend trying to stay distracted, and throwing a few pitty parties for myself here and there – and then trying to distract myself some more.

PLEASE keep me in your prayers, I’m trying to just calm down and take comfort in the fact that God is in control – but it is hard. Pray that I can just GET BETTER.

Okay… and on a lighter note, for a little change of subject the new Scrap With the Sugar Babes assignment is up at Sweet Shoppe Designs, and it is such a great challenge. 10 or more photos on one page! TOTALLY HARD! But, man I’m so glad we had this challenge because it really forced me to make the sort of page that I thought I was incapable of.

I’m really happy with what I came up with and impressed with what the other babes did! Just goes to show that sometimes you need a little nudge to step outside your comfort zone.
