I used the Kit from Digital Artist Magazine, Dripping with Honey by Corina. I also used my paper bag alpha, and i made brads and the cardboard tab. Dani’s “Scrapper’s Toolbox” Shape Tool rocked the pinked edges Smile Thanks dani!!! Font is BecklyScript and my own handwriting.

We also took another trip to the pumpkin patch with the whole family this weekend, and aunt Liz too!  We had a great time- here are a few highlights:

Gareth in a beautiful autumn tree:

The three guys in a wagon, and believe it or not, g pushed them all in it!

As soon as we got into the pumpkin patch, Reecey ran up to a pumpkin and put his foot on it, then he stayed like this for the longest time!

Owen with his ear of corn (he was very excited about this corn):

There are like 100 more pictures, but these should do!  This afternoon we carved the pumpkins with grandma and grandpa – can’t wait to show you!

The feeling of a mommy and daddy when they go to their oldest son’s 1st grade parent teacher conference and his teacher has nothing but wonderful things to say about him.

Along with saying he is thoughtful, and well behaved, and responsible, and smart she also said – and get this – she said when she has kids of her own she wants a kid just like gareth…

Um yeah, That is pride :)

(Have I told you how much I LOVE this teacher!?!?!)

Pictures!

Owen and Reece and I went to the pumpkin patch with MOMS Club today. It was a cold rainy day, but we bundled up, and really had a great time even in the drizzle, and we totally lucked out because we didn’t get rained on too bad, considering what it could have been.

I was really blown away, me and my two youngest, I was wondering if it would get a bit over whelming considering there are two of them and one of me – in my head I think I still see them both as like toddlers, but the truth is, they are totally self sufficient kids, and really they were a piece of cake today. Actually, i brought the stroller, and it sat in the rain and just got wet, no little bottom sitting there keeping it dry.

Okay so on to the pictures:

We rode a hay ride on a tractor to get to the pumpkin patch itself… here are the guys sitting together on the hay ride – see what I mean about them being so big! I mean they were just such good kids, sitting on the hay bale…

I love these guys!

Here are some pictures from the pumpkin patch itself:

I told the boys before hand that they had to be able to carry the pumpkins they picked out – so they both went around and did the “pick up test” on every pumpkin in sight.

The Pumpkin patch had other fun stuff too, a petting zoo, a hay maze, and a bit hay pyramid they could climb.

Owen “driving” a tractor:

Here is Reece at the petting zoo, he LOVES animals! I kept trying to tell him this was a goat, but he said repeatedly that it was in fact “NO SHEEP!” actually, he tells me it was an “Elephant” ;)

When we got home we had a yummy lunch and then the kids didn’t even fight nap – goodness knows I needed a good day today, and thank heavens I got one… it was a really nice time, and now it is quiet and the kids are resting – funny too, when I laid reece down, I asked him if he had fun – “YES, Pumpkin fun!”. Then I asked what he liked the best – he said very simply “ELEPHANTS!” hehehe! what a nut!

Sigh, and as for me… I’m trying here, November is coming shortly and I’ve got NOTHING… I’m in such a slump physically and emotionally, it is severely frustrating!  It feels like I was JUST starting to feel better, and then I got sick and achy, and now I’m in this hole I can’t quite get out of… patience patience…. that isn’t really my thing.
I’m hoping so much that I will be ready with something come November, but please do forgive me if I don’t have anything brand new right away.

Here’s a scene I took to try to jump-start some mojo today…

sigh… fall is so pretty – so what is up with me!  Here’s hoping one beatiful drizzly fall day at the pumpkin patch and a quiet afternoon are just the ticket.

Reece Cracks me up! I was going to just blog about this, but i decided making a page would be more fun!

When we were getting his Jammies on tonight, he was looking at himself in the mirror, and pointing at the dinosaur on his jammies. I asked him “Whats that on your jammies?”

He answered right away “Pokey-mokey-mokey” with an impish little grin.

I started laughing, “No Reecey that’s a dinosaur, you can say dinosaur”

Reece ofcourse just yelled “NO DINOSAUR!!! POKEYMOKEYMOKEY!!!”

ahhh the joys…. :) I have to admit I was cracking up even though I was getting yelled at- pokey mokey mokey??? LOL, our best guess is pokemon… maybe???
