Well I know I’ve been missing in action, but I had to come out of hiding to say HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to everyone!

We’ve had a great day and I got nice and spoiled by g and the boys. I woke up to a CLEAN HOUSE (and that was really quite the feat trust me! It was a wreck around here!) A fresh hot cup of coffee and some great gifts including a bissel “flip it” vacuum for my kitchen (I’ve been dying for one of these!!!) and the sweetest softest robe on earth it really honest to goodness IS the softest thing ever!

We went to church and g has taken care of the kids all day! And then we went to Chevy’s for lunch (yummy margarita and fajitas!). Then home to relax and just do as I please.

Owen “got me a cake” with my parents yesterday, so we had cake this afternoon and I had g take some pictures of me and my boys and my “i love my mom” cake

I decided since it WAS my cake, and since I always dream about just sticking my finger right into the icing on a pretty uncut up cake and then licking it right off my finger, that now would be a good time to finally live out that fantasy So the boys and I just dipped our fingers right then and there, I was totally cracking up.

It was really a wonderfully sweet day around here!
Mothers day wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention my sweet mommy. So Mom – I made this page for you:

the journaling says: let me tell you about my mom. she is a grandma like no one else, always giving my boys more love than they know what to do with. she is a caring and giving and sharing and more helpful than i could ask for. my mom is someone who is always willing to listen and ready to help out when i am struggling. she is always remind- ing me that i am a good mom myself. my mom is strong. she hadn’t let obsta- cles get in her way when she was faced with real trials she persevered. she is always ready to work hard to make things happen. my mom is absolutely beau- tiful. she makes me look forward to getting older. and gives me hope that i’ll be able to have time to enjoy my life and my freedom after my kids are grown. my mom is an example to me – that we all are forever a work in progress. that we can grow and change and become even more amazing as we grow. my mom lets me know that she loves me, she makes me feel like i am someone good. and she never fails to make me feel like i can do this. whatever this may be let me tell you about my mom. she is absolutely wonderful and i am lucky that she’s my mom.
