Well tonight my sweet hubby and boys took me to Baja Fresh for dinner- preggo tummy was craving it! Then we walked over to target and the boys went on the hunt for some “Girly presents for mommy.” I’m so happy about my girly loot I ended up with!
Yes, as you can see, I got some fun little goodies and some useful girlie stuff, notice too, I got both the calming night time body wash AND the energy glow body wash because who knows when this momma will actually get into the shower
Also the girly shaving cream was a must, because I had just gotten out of a shower where I shaved with g’s shaving cream, and I smelled a little manly!
I needed some hair rubber bands and of course who can resist some cute little shimmery lip gloss (especially if there are little rhinestones ON the little containers, too cute!). G found these yummy smelling green candles for me in three shades of green, my favorite color! Then we found a big fluffy new body pillow – considering I got my last one right before I started college almost 10 years ago! And then to girlify it, we got a fuzzy hot pink pillow case for it – I have to tell you, this body pillow is my new best friend, it is SO cozy and soft! I think I’ll be bringing it with me everywhere I go (so don’t be surprised when I have it at the park with the kids, or next time we go out to eat!)
And then the best part, we saw the cabbage patch kids, and I have to tell you every time i see those things, I reminisce about being a little girl and just the magic of having your own cabbage patch doll – with no little girls around here I don’t get to relive stuff like that much, so the boys all got me my own cabbage patch – she is a little new born and her name is Lea Damaris (uh, my middle name is lea so seriously it is like a match made in heaven us two). When I opened the package, i just couldn’t believe how wonderful that cabbage patch kid smell was, brought back memories, and made me smile. The boys love it too, and tomorrow we are going to fill out lea’s birth certificate and I’ll tell them all about the story of cabbage patch kids – am I just a bit too excited about this??? Seriously, just makes me feel all warm inside, I loved my cabbage patch kids growing up and it is so fun to relive that a bit.
Surrounded by boys around here, sometimes I need to girl it up a bit, and tonight was fun to go shopping and not walk out with a single matchbox car, or transformer or anything blue at all actually
.
Fun night for me! What a great birthday, all this and my new camera- I’m one spoiled girlie! (Although surprise surprise baja fresh isn’t agreeing with me now that it is bed time… oh well, gotta give in to the cravings I say – it’s my probably my last pregnancy after all).
