Well I don’t know why it was that I thought little boys don’t play dress up – I guess Gareth never got into the idea of trying on costumes and pretending to be all sorts of things, but Owen and Reece have imaginations you wouldn’t believe. So, our smaller “adventure kit” toy container (that had compasses, cameras, binoculars, hats, ect.), has grown into a much bigger, and more full, dress up tub filled with not only gear, but also capes/masks/gloves and probably lots of other things i don’t even know (and don’t even want to know!) are in there.

So lately, the big thing has been that the boys will get all decked out in capes/masks/hats and all sorts of other little costume pieces. And then have extravagant light saber battles. It always cracks me up to walk in to the room and see little a little boys with a Darth Vader mask and a batman cloak, and a knight in shining armor vest with a big light saber in his hands!

Here are a few pictures I snapped of them all decked out, I thought you’d enjoy :)

Isn’t that too much fun?! I love the fun these guys create during the day – I’m so glad that they have each other to battle/play with all day long :) . When ever I see them playing so nicely together it warms my heart and reminds me exactly WHY we wanted to do this four times! It is so rewarding to know that I gave them the greatest gift I think I have to give, a constant playmate, an ally (or rival depending on the day!), and a life long friend :)

Oh and I’ll leave you with this picture – hehehe, for when the little scuba-battler gets tired, there is nothing like a special blanket to help him relax…

  3. You got some great shots there. And I agree w/ you 100% on why it’s a joy to have many kids. They are so amazing when they become each other’s best little friends and can share their imaginations. Hope Spring Break makes for even more adventures w/ 4 boys at home!!
