Well we had a wonderful Easter weekend around here – We are still not making it out the door with all four boys (not to mention 2 tired parents) – but we did have my family over for the afternoon, and a nice relaxing day together.
It was fun to see the boys get all excited about Easter this year, and funny to watch little Reece try to figure it all out. He was anticipating all the candy in a BIG way, and by Friday he was so anxious about it all that he broke down into tears multiple times about worrying that he’d miss out on Easter for some reason, or sleep through it (Mom and Dad, can I sleep with you so that I make sure to wake up). Then he was completely distraught when he figured out he wouldn’t get the chance to MEET the easter bunny, so big brother Gareth jumped to the rescue and composed a letter that they could leave for the bunny since they didn’t get to meet him in person…

In the end the Easter bunny found the jumping bunny toys and also 3 small chocolate bunnies for each of the big brothers, but there was no way he would have tortured poor mommy by leaving a chocolate bunny the size of a five year old for a little boy who already has the tendency to get quite hyper active when he eats even a little chocolate.
Turns out that everyone was perfectly happy with the moderate sized bunnies – and Reece was quite relieved to see that the bunny got his note, and that Easter day came and went with out a hitch

that’s an awesome keepsake letter – i love how each of their personalities show thru in what they want and that gareth wasn’t even asking for chocolate – glad they were happy with what they received and that the letter writing could fix some of the anxiety issues!
