Today is catchup day, from 10 photo 365 pictures to upload and journal, several layouts to post in galleries, and some updates on to my to do list.  I thought it would be a good time to check in with the old bloggy.

The past few weeks have really gone by in blur, starting with the nasty flu that took out the entire family for a few days.  We ended up having some major heater problems, that led to actual wet steamy air being pumped into our house through the heating vents… we ended up loosing the heater for one night, and having to get the furnace upgraded and replaced.  And, as if that wasn’t enough frustration, the leak that the heater had sprung up in our attic had been spraying wet, hot water into the whole area.  Thank goodness for homeowners insurance, because we are having one type of contractor after another coming in to inspect the damage.  It is a total mess.

Anyways, I’m not so much in the mood to post anything thoughtful, meaningful or… well anything! But I thought I should come post my most recent layout that I made this past weekend, and a little update that I’m still here and trying to catch up with my own self… we’ll see, it’s not looking too promising!

Journaling: "watching my oldest son grow has been such a treat for me – i had no idea before i became a mom what it would be like to have an 8 year old little boy. my son is fun to be around., he’s smart, he’s conscientious and more kind then I ever could have imagined.. another surprise – how adorably awkward he is in front of my camera, his sense of self consciousness has kicked in, and it is always an extra little challenge to get him to give me a genuine smile!"  Kit is "Punked" by Dani Mogstad. So, that was like two layouts in a matter of a week, it felt really good to make some pages, and I just adore this picture of Gareth so much. I’m glad I got it scrapped.
