I know we have some family waiting to see these, so I have been trying to get them all ready!
Halloween pictures are always a challenge because of the whole light situation – inside they are all yellow from the indoor lighting, and then you get out side and its pitch black and my poor little camera was not happy about it, a few times it would do its little beep and try to zoom thing and then just straight up refuse to actually take the pic
– poor flash worked harder than it has all year! But in the end I think we got some great shots!
So, this halloween was extra special for me, because it is the first holiday that Tennyson actually got to really enjoy! We put him in the same yoda costume he wore last year, but this year it actually fit! LOL
Here’s our little sci-fi baby waiting to hit the neigborhood
Every year we just take the kids to the store and just say “pick” I have decided this is the best plan because really we never spend more than like 15 to 20 dollars a kid, and that is WAY less than I would be spending if I pieced together costumes for them – especially if you count the time and agony it would cost me! Not to mention that really thats what they usually want the most! But this year, when we got to party city, Reece was rather disappointed that there were no “Rock Star” costumes for kids! We ended up deciding to make one for him, which in the end it turns out, was not too much agony (and maybe a little bit of fun!). Here is the costume our Reecey ended up with:
(a little blurry but it is especially hard to get a crazy rock star to stand still!)
He picked out green AND silver for some crazy spikey hair, here’s a better look at that craziness:
(don’t you love the arm warmers??? we just snapped the feet off some tube socks!)
Owen is such a little handsome child, so I was especially thrilled when he picked Indiana Jones, he looked like he was born to wear khaki and a hat:
I tried to get a big grin from him, but he told me that “Indiana Johns” is serious business (DUH mom!)
and yes, you read that right “Indiana Johns” that’s what Owen says – we tried to correct him once or twice, but honestly, its just to dang cute to try to fix! The only way he knows the character is from the Lego Indiana Jones video game and besides, it made me smile inside every time I heard him say it.
Biggest brother was a Ninja – I’m pretty sure he chose that costume so that he could have as many weapons as possible and he made sure to make good use of them:
Now that Halloween is over and the sword, two daggers, and ninja star are all in the toy box I can see that he was definitely thinking ahead in his costume choice!
So, I totally missed out on the group brother halloween pictures! Akk! We were all anxious to get going so after getting the brothers individually I just forgot! But I did snap this one when we were all out and about:
I have to accept the imperfection in all these dark pics, camera (and mom) definitely tried our very very best though (click on these to see them bigger)!
Our little yoda was such an adorable little trooper, he LOVED walking with everyone, and walked the entire route! He went up to the doors and held out his little basket proudly – once he figured out what we were doing he started cracking up, he was so bewildered and excited! He also stopped on the sidewalk at one point to look up at the sky in amazement (this may be the first time he ever noticed that the sky changes colors) It was adorable, and fun to see him enjoying himself with his brothers. I’m sure he felt like big stuff!
My favorite halloween pics every year, are always the ones at the end of the night – everyone was so excited to get home and dig in to their piles of loot!
Hehehe!
Well there you have it! Hope everyone else had an absolutely fabulous Halloween! (and if you haven’t gotten it yet, scroll down my freebie is still up!)
