So, I’m not quite sure I am prepared to handle my younger two sons. Gareth and Owen have always been sweet kids, and girls everywhere have loved them (who can blame them! they are quite the little men). But both of them, they don’t see girls as like girls I’ve yet to see either of them notice a girl in a romantic way, and I know that because of their dispositions it will probably be a while before they have little girlfriends calling the house or passing them little love notes. That is just how I want it to be.
Well our Reecey, he is quite the charismatic little fellow… He really likes girls… Like, he has actually asked several girls to marry him (our dental hygienist included)… one day he kissed one of his little girlfriends because he said he wanted to marry her (yes, we had to draw the line on that one). His first play date from school was with a little girl, and he notices pretty girls everywhere. The other day, out of the blue he asked me if there are hot ladies in prison, yep you read that right “mom, are their hot ladies in prison?” You see we had been talking about how certain things were against the law, and I think he was weighing if it was worth it to be a lawful citizen, or if being in prison might not be all that bad… sigh… So he just seems way more aware of the ladies, and well his adorably confident little self makes sure that he’s getting noticed too. He actually told me the other day that he has “lots of people to choose to from” for a wife when he’s grown up… all this from him at FIVE…. I’m just bracing myself for fifteen!!
So, I’ve crossing my fingers that Tennyson will take it easy on me in that whole department… but… well so far Tennyson hasn’t really been into the whole taking it easy on me thing in any department… and, so far my chances aren’t looking very hopeful in the lady department. You see yesterday when we were at moms club he was just totally taken with this adorable little girl, he always loves to see other toddlers. I think being the youngest had him thinking that he was the only little person in the universe, so when he sees other people his size he is just in awe. So yesterday he seriously was just absolutely enraptured with this little girl, he kept going up to her, cocking his head to the side and waving saying “hi’s” to her. At one point she blew him a little kiss (so ridiculously sweet! she is adorable!). Well I guess Tennyson took that as a sign that she was open to his advances because a minute later, he leaned right in and kissed her. Ahhh!!! This is the first time one of my toddlers put me in that position… Well we had a little talk about not kissing people. Then I pretty much had to stand as “kissing guard” because he tried a few more times and, well, I’m pretty sure the other mom was not a big fan of the kisses (who can blame her, that is not exactly part of good toddler etiquette!).
So, um, yeah… apparently both my younger boys have intentions of being serious ladies men! And for now I’m feeling a little panicky thinking about their teen years… Luckily I’ve got about 8 years to go, and with the way these two are, I’m sure they’ll keep me a little too busy in the here and now to spend too much time fretting over what is to come!

I only have the 2 boys but my younger one has always been the ladies man, flirting with everyone, hugging the little girls his age and trying to kiss them. He’s mostly backed off that now at 6. My older one has girls after him but seems oblivious to it for now

Shawna, I have to tell you, I too can sense that Reece will be charming the ladies out of their pants in his teen years. Teach him early that this is NOT the best way to get the perfect wife
Tennyson’s too shy around me to leave a lasting impression, but I don’t doubt your intuition! How funny!
