Happy Saturday everyone! I’m super excited today to show off my newest design.  I’d been struggling some to find my “groove” and there is something about this scheme that really got the designer in me to come out of hiding!

Get it???  Colorfall hehehe. Well, like I said in my last post, I think this is going to be my last official Friday Fix here on my blog,  I think it is time to do something new, but you’ll have to hold your little horses on that until i have all my new team members sorted out… Today I have the impossible task of pairing down my applicants to a reasonable number of creative team additions, and I’ll tell you right now, it will not be an easy feat!

Atleast I’ve got the new kit all ready to go for Sweet Shoppe Saturday tomorrow!  I can’t wait for you all to see it!!  Here is a special peek at it with the gorgeous layouts my team have created!

Well, I know I’ve been mia on the ol’ bloggy for a few weeks now, things have been chugging right along around here, so I’ve been trying to find my groove in the design dept. and just working on finding that perfect balance with my free time now that the three older monkeys are away at school all day! 

I’ve decided to make a few changes in the way I blog, more to come on that later – but tomorrow will be my last official “Friday Fix” post on the personal bloggy – you can come back and check it out too to see if you are a winner from the past few weeks, seeing as I’ve fallen a wee-bit behind in that department.  I do love posting my peeks here and I especially love all the visitors it brings, but I’m feeling like maybe the personal aspect of my life is getting a bit buried under all this business.  I have a few plans a-brewing for that, but I’m gonna wait to put it all out there till it is set in stone.

Speaking of the personal aspect of me, things are a-changing there too.  Turns out it is really a HUGE change having the three big guys out of the house during the day.  It is nice, but also sort of disconcerting… it feels like this is the first step on a long line of my kids needing me less and less, and of me having to figure out who I am minus the mom part.  I know I’ll be my children’s mother till the day I die… but as time keeps ticking down, my role as mom is changing.  It is a good thing, I’ve always said that one of the best parts of being a parent is watching your kids learn and grow.  But it’s a bit disconcerting too.  Who am I now that my Gareth is a FIFTH grader??  Who am I now that I only have ONE toddler tagging along with me at Target??  It’s a whole new world around here.

Well, the sun is rising around here and its about time to get a move on my brand new day.  But not before I plug something awesome!  This week I’ve been having a Creative Team Call!  I know most of my readers already know this, but just incase you are more of a a blog reader than a forum follower I wanted to make sure to plug the call here.

The call ends TONIGHT – so you officially have a little over 12 hours to get that app in!  It has been a joy to see everyones’ beautiful galleries!  I can already tell you that this is gonna be a really rough decision!

So there you have it, all the nitty gritty of whats’ up with me.  As I’m starting to find the balance around here, I’m hoping that with it will come more and more blog posts… we will see…

Happy Thursday everyone, be back tomorrow with my last friday fix and a peek at this weeks kit (i am soooo proud of this one, it is probably one of my favorite personal designs in a while)!

Wait, Can you hear that??  That would be the sound of me letting out a HUGE sigh of relief that normal life is beginning to resume.  I keep looking at the clock, and feeling a sense of comfort because I know exactly what part of the day it is, and what I’ll be doing. It is 1:59 pm, t naps right now, I work, the boys are at school for 2 more hours.  I am turning into quite a boring person as I comfortably slip back into our daily rut… just feels GOOD to know what is coming next.

I have had a few new things this year too. Now that the boys are shuffled off to school every morning, this is the first year that ALL (of the older 3) of my boys are in elementary school ALL day, EVERY day!   It is so nice, and I’m not the only one enjoying it, Tennyson has been happy as a clam playing on his own.  We’ve also started the ritual of eating lunch together every day.  I wish i could take a picture of the two of us, sitting at the table with a sandwich making very very simple conversation “that yours milk??  this my milk,” and “I play ball.”  Its fun though, having a few extra minutes in my day to spend just chillin’ with my little one.  Speaking of a few extra minutes, I’m feeling incredibly spoiled.  Now that the boys are all in school, I decided to sign t up for the child watch at the gym.  I get 2 hours a day, any days I want, and he gets a giant room filled with balls and toys and a whole play structure thing.  Let me tell you, it feels nothing short of luxurious to drop the boys off at school, and t in his little play place and then spend an hour in kickboxing, followed by time to shower, get all dressed, do my hair, makeup!! for mercies sake, I even have time to moisturize (this would be the first time in my life that I’ve actually used that word as a verb)! All of this with a distance greater than 10 feet from my (wonderful but still in my space) children!!  Crazy crazy spoiled over here.  Hubby is so sweet to me to work that luxurious expense into our budget each month.

Ofcourse, a huge part of being excited about getting back to life, is that I finally get to work in peace again, I have lots a ideas/thoughts/plans, but it is also nice just be able to get back to the basics of making new kits, posting my friday fixes, and getting all of that done before I’m down to the deadline wire!
