This week I finished up a Scoop with my “Internet wife” and sweet friend Lauren Grier:

Fall into Me was our take on a Fall/Halloween type kit, only with great vibrant colors that can stand alone, and of course lots of sweet super fun elements!  You can pick it up HERE in the sweet shoppe (and you SHOULD for mercies sake!)

Last week I also worked on a collaboration, this time with Dani Mogstad and Traci Reed.

Love Bites is our little ode to the Twilight series .  I am a HUGE vampire fan in general and Dani and Traci are all about the Twilight books (I’m reading them too, and have mixed feelings LOL but that is for another post!).  I love the way this came out though, it is the perfect kit for romance pages, book pages, music pages, or well any other pages you might want to give a bit of a more formal or gothic-ish feel to. And then last but DEFINATELY not least (well in my mind at least!)  At the end of august a bunch of SSD designers took one of our first kits and revamped it to modernize it some.  I was really especially excited to do this because when I recently retired Techno Grunge, my very first kit, I have to admit I cried a bit…. I looooved this kit – and I’m proud to say I love my new revamped version too!

Techno Grunge Remix contains all new and remade papers a full new alpha and a TON of brand new elements.  You’ll also see some of the oldie but goodies in there too!  If you haven’t checked it out in the shoppe yet please do!  Check it out HERE.

This week I released another 2 kits at SSD!  I’m so excited about these collaborations!  I can’t wait to show you!

The first one is a Triple Dip I did with Lauren Grier and Manda Bean, and we had SO MUCH FUN!  I have been wanting to do a “girl power” kit and so I roped these two into playing with me, and let me just say – uhhh these girls really do RULE!

Also this week, Kristin CB and I teamed up!  After we had SO MUCH FUN doing “Beep Chugga Zoom” together, we just had to do another “all boy” kit – and I think this one fits the bill perfectly!

I really can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see pages put together with my own kits!  Best feeling ever! 

So, this week I’ve just been DYING to scrap some, and my washing machine has missed me I’m pretty sure – so I’m going to play it more low key in the designing department, although I do have one scoop I’m working on… I’ve been bitten by the designing bug, it is hard to stop!!

hehehe, isn’t it fun! It’s called “You and Me Baby” and it just came out tonight at SSD. And it has a mini heart album free with purchase through this next week!

Last weekend I had some new stuff too!

This is a kit I did with two fellow designers Traci Reed and Christy Lyle at at Sweet Shoppe Designs. It’s called “Tiki Wiki” and it is SO much fun!

I also couldn’t resist making a kit for my grumpy little baby boy, so i gathered up all my gumption and ACTUALLY made something by myself

It’s called “Grumpy Bubby” and I’m just loving it! It was totally inspired by this picture of poor grumpy Tennyson when he was sick.

I actually think I missed showing you my Releases from the week before that too! (See told you I’ve been getting a lot done, too bad posting previews on my blog wasn’t one of those things!!)

Then Kristin Cronin Barrow and I made this kit together in honor of our sweet baby boys – she was due I think with in a day of me, and delivered her sweet son Lucas only a few weeks after me! We thought it was a given that we had to make a classic boy kit “Beep Chugga Zoom“:

I also had some fun scrapping last weekend for national Scrapbook day, but I’ll save those for another time so you don’t get overwhelmed with all the inspiration! LOL Jk! But I’m sure after this weekend I’ll have a few more to add to the pile too

One awesome thing about having it done early instead of waiting till the last minute is that my wonderfully patient and loyal creative team had the chance to make some pages in advance! They have all been so sweet to stick with me through my designing hiatus, and now that I FINALLY have something out, they were so sweet to jump right on it and make some wonderful pages! I just have to show them off!

It doesn’t help that yesterday I woke up to no coffee creamer left in the house (I know! Seriously, how is a mommy supposed to cope!?!) and then ofcourse there was my mischievous thing one and thing two (also known as Owen and Reece) running round the house all day, only to with Mr. Reecey puking several times after bedtime. Also, Tennyson has been extra clingy – I can’t help but think he must have a tummy ache too poor guy!

Yesterday evening, because we had several things on our shopping list – including creamer ofcourse – I took all the boys to the grocery store with me. Let me tell you, this is NOT the best idea when you are caffeine deprived, your kids are moody, and when your baby is clingy! I swear, I took all my boys on a daytrip to the zoo last week and the 30 minute trip to the store was like 500 times harder! It didn’t help that I pretty much had to hold Tennyson the whole time, and that Gareth Owen and Reece kept grabbing things we “need” and putting them in the cart, and Reece decided he needed to walk right in front of the cart, so that we could only move at his whim, while Owen decided to walk pretty much only places where he would be getting in the other shoppers’ way. In the end though we survived it – sort of how the week is feeling, we’re surviving it!

One thing do I have to pat myself on the back for is that Lauren Grier and I put pink laptop to the test, and she actually got me to DESIGN again. My first post – baby product is ready to go, and I have to say, we rocked it (ofcourse ) it is coming out for this Saturday’s new releases, but until then here is a little sneak peek:

Well that is all really, just had to sneak in a mid week check in/whine, and show off our little sneak peek . Send all of your no-pukies prayers our way please…. the idea of all four boys vomiting sort of has me shaking in my mommy boots!

I, Shawna Clingerman, actually finished a whole kit all by my self!!!! This is may seem like small potatoes, but let me tell you this was no easy feat! Especially between fighting off the head cold from hell, keeping an eye on three little super-guys (ofcourse this includes breaking up super-fights and the making of many super-peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches), and several loads of laundry (I don’t use several too losely – I litterally mean, like 3 or 4, but still!). Also take into account that I am still puking…. the finishing of a kit is really quite the ordeal for me!

So, on to the kit – this kit “Ka-blamo” was actually inspired by a little onesie we bought for the littlest Mr. Clingerman on the day we found out he was a boy – G found this in target and we both thought it was so funny! Plus, it has that “comic book cool” thing going on, that g loves. After we brought it home, I was just thinking about how fun a little comic-booky kit would be fun.

Well I started on the scheme/patterns that day, and I really was just so excited about it. It wasn’t until halloween night when I was uploading pictures from trick or treating that it dawned on me that this kit is the perfect match for my little superhero’s in their costumes!

When it is all said and done, I’m so proud of this kit! It is GREAT for boys, and filled up with really fun elements!

I love love love when I make a kit that I can scrap with, for me that is what brings it all full circle as a designer, I create because I love to scrap, so when I can scrap with my kits it just reminds me why I push myself through a whole kit – and it really makes it all worth while!

• Gareth started second grade!
• My little niece visited
• We had my wonderful designer pal Lauren and her cutie pie son visiting for over two weeks
• Lots of fun sight seeing, and little day trips
• Getting things in a row around here, we found a crib, two beds for owen and reece, and a table that our whole family actually fits at!  things on that pesky to do list are finally getting crossed off.
• Did I mention I’ve been SICK and tired and pregnant?!

In addition to all of that, life has been it’s regular old busy and all consuming self, but you know what, it has been good to me too I feel blessed and happy and so well taken care of…. sigh (sappy moment, sorry)… life is good.

So I know, these are all things that need posts of their own, so be patient with me, and I’ll post them over the next week (otherwise you will all be completely overwhelmed with pictures and my rambling – plus I’ve taken my anti-nausea pill that makes me drowsy and wobbly headed, so there is no guarantee that it would make sense any ways!)

I have managed to find the time to update the store with all my new products, and I wanted to let everyone know about my sale I have running this weekend.
